dlr TY STEM Entrepreneur Hackathon on 'Assisted Living'

  Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Public Libraries and Local Enterprise Office DLR   are organizing a Transition Year Student Hackathon on the theme of  Assisted Living  on Friday evening 7th   and Saturday 8th December in dlr LexIcon with 60 students from local schools. The facilitator is Dr Jake Rowan-Byrne from TCD. We have been running a TY STEM Entrepreneur Camp for 3 years and are very excited to host and organize our first student hackathon, which this year is kindly supported by Science Foundation Ireland. Draft Programme: F riday 7 th   December   6.00pm - 8.00pm 6.00 – 7.00 Advocates from 3 specialist organisations/research areas to make presentations on specific issues and technology available to those in need of assisted living. 7.00 – 8.00 Participants to break up into teams (approx. 12 teams x 5 members) and select a theme based on the issues raised. dlr  Teen Entrepreneur STEM Camp & Hackathon 2018 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries  and Local Enterprise Office DLR, are delighted to host our third Entrepreneur Learning Camp in STEM (Science, Techology, Engineering and Maths) for Transition Year students this autumn with the addition of a STEM Hackathon. This year's camp and hackathon is kindly supported by Science Foundation Ireland and is free for participants. The programme will once again be facilitated by Dr. Jake Rowan Byrne (TCD). The venue , dlr LexIcon LAB, offers programmes on coding, computer programming, 3D printing, robotics and other creative technologies. The camp ’s weekly sessions from October to November 2018 will include; Workshops, Guest Entrepreneurs and Project Maker Days; culminating in a Show and Share Event. dlr Teen Entrepreneur  STEM  Camp & Hackathon 2018. Our Third STEM initiative for Transition Year students will be held from  October to December 2018. Teachers should  APPLY BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 TH  (Limited to 15 schools, 4 students per school). Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries  and  Local Enterprise Office Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown  (LEO DLR) are delighted to host a third Student TY Entrepreneur Learning Camp in STEM subjects (Science, Techology, Engineering and Maths) for Transition Year students this autumn.  This year's camp will also feature a STEM Hackathon on the theme of 'Assisted Living' and is supported and funded by Science Foundation Ireland.  The venue  is again the  dlr LexIcon LAB, a space which offers programmes on coding, computer programming, 3D printing, robotics and other creative technologies to people of all ages.  The camp consists of weekly sessions running from October to Nov...
